Can a german shepherd pull a sled like a sled dog?

i live in PA and our winters can sometimes be so harsh that our cars wont work and the roads get really icy, it there a way that (when my dog is older) i could trainher to be a sled dog? she is 8 weeks old as we speak but i want to know if she would be able to be a sled dog, be able to pull my weight, and be able to travel a few miles WHILE pulling a sled. is this possible?
