Why isnt the code "changelotzoning [residential, community, or apartmentbase]" foSims apartment life working?

i put down the size of the lot i wanted. i opened it up. I enterd changelotzoning [residential, community, or apartmentbase] changelotzoningresidential in my case. it doesnt work for me. I dont know what else to do i just want to creat what i want for my sims apartment life. Can some one PLEASE HELP??? THANKS CILLA
