Why are some people so quick to want the END to happen?

Hi cute Blue Foots, I am Christian and certainly don't want "the end" of the world to happen. I love life and enjoy every day of it. Thankfully, I don't have Christian friends who are full of doom and gloom hoping for the world to be destroyed. Yep, I believe when the end does come, Jesus will appear in the sky as written in the scriptures.
