Why does he act like this towards me?

There's this guy I know from a friend who is interning here for the summer told me that I looked pretty when we went somewhere together. Also, he said that my sister and I look pretty in a photo. Then in a text I told him that I would get him a gift for fixing my computer and he said," Oh, you don’t have too. My summer would be pretty sucky without you guys." Then he said, "Maybe we could just like make out once or something just for fun, even though were just friends. Haha. Omg I cant believe I just said that." He hangs around our family and us and invites himself out with our friends because he is lonely with out his friends and family, and wants to do everything with us. Does he like me more than a "friend" after how he acts? I like him, but I don’t know if he likes me? Thanks!
