I need help with what to do on City Folk:Animal Crossing game!!?

I just startin playing this game a few days ago, and i have purchased my house, worked for tom nook and been to the city but beyond that it doesnt seem like there is much to do other than walk around and socialize with the quirky neighbors or fish! im alerady bored with this, does anyone know what else there is to do with this game or any ideas? Thanks for your help!!
