Must landlords provide a fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector?

In Tennessee, every place I rented was equipped with a fire extinguisher and smoke detector. I am now living in Texas and noticed that my apartment does not have a fire extinguisher. Does anyone know what the requirements are for these safety devices in Texas?
