'Coming out' as an agnostic to Christian friends and family?

I came out as a Deist to my wife about a year into our marriage. It was rough, we talked it out. As long as one of is not constantly trying to convert the other, it will work out fine. I simply told her "You dont have to be a certain faith in order to be a good person". I think she will always be upset with the fact that im not a christian like her, but love conquerors all right?
