Wasps are crawling out of my chimney and diying, whats going on?

I have wasps crawling out of a whole in da wall, where an air vent is, have had bout 40 in total first week or so there were 3-4 buzzin round da windows but they just seemed to die. never thought much of it, till i noticed there was loads coming from this hole, lookin sluggish and slowly diying. da last day i haven't noticed any more alive but am worried as i don't understand if theres a nest thats manafesting or if its da end of it, i've had da bedroom locked off for da last few days & wud like to know wats goin on with them, any clue???
